SWAPMEAT is a bizarre journey in which the protagonist's body becomes an ever-evolving collection of trophies. Survival on hostile planets depends on the ability to harvest body parts from defeated alien creatures, integrating their flesh into one's own body to gain new abilities. This bizarre form of bioengineering allows fighters to adapt to any threat, whether it's installing turrets directly from their torsos or using a turkey head to launch grenades.
Constant modification is key to success, turning every encounter into an opportunity for radical and unpredictable character enhancement. The Rangus Meats corporation is behind these genetic experiments, sending its employees, known as Meat Scientists, to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Their mission is to rid planets of aggressive fauna and collect valuable biological materials. In this third-person roguelite shooter, every mission is unique, and failure is an integral part of the process, forcing you to start over with new knowledge.
SWAPMEAT offers both single-player and co op modes for up to four players, allowing you to hunt aliens with friends. The gameplay forces you to constantly adapt to your surroundings, as each hostile planet is inhabited by unique creatures with their own strengths and weaknesses. Combat requires not only accurate marksmanship but also strategic thinking, as the choice of body parts you acquire determines your tactics for the entire subsequent mission.
