Resident Evil Village is an action-adventure game developed in 2021 in the genre of survival horror. In this game, the player controls Ethan Winters, who goes on a journey to save her kidnapped daughter Rosemary from a frightening village. The game has a snow-capped village, a range of enemies, and the first-person mode; it is the same as with Resident Evil 7. It merges survival horror elements with a more action-based gameplay, with more enemies, as well as gameplay based more on combat.
The survival horror aspects of management of resources and scavenging are retained in the game, but more action-based gameplay is incorporated with more enemies and improved focus on combat as well.
