XENOBREAKERS Classic Tower Defense, players join Billy and his crew as they fight to protect their allies while guiding them safely toward the evacuation zone, Drop City 237. Their transport ship Lockwood, has crashed on the desert planet Kernas, requiring the player to intervene through an authorized defense system. The crew must be protected from local threats, including large insectoid creatures and disabled automated droids. The success of the crew's mission depends on preventing enemy units from penetrating the installed defense gates, and the course of events is illustrated with hand-drawn comic panels. In XENOBREAKERS: Classic Tower Defense, defense is built on 5 basic structures, each with its own purpose. These basic structures can be upgraded to the point of choosing one of two specialized branches for each turret type. This system creates 10 different turret specializations, which, when combined with the base units, give 15 unique forms of emplacements, each with its own abilities and potential for further upgrades. Strategic deployments can include placing flamethrower launchers for close combat or using long-range turrets to eliminate targets from afar.
