RimWorld is a player's control of a group of settlers who, by chance, find themselves on the surface of a sparsely populated, unexplored planet. Despite its unassuming appearance, this 2D sandbox offers a wealth of possibilities, thanks to a sophisticated construction system, player character stats, and a system of social interaction between settlement residents. The starting conditions and subsequent storyline of RimWorld depend on the initial settings chosen. The player selects their first settlers, their stats, the climate, and the living conditions on the planet. The difficulty level depends on the selected narrator. This is a separate NPC that generates random events and their corresponding frequencies. Anything can happen, from a pirate attack to a meteorite strike. The main goal of the game is to build a viable settlement and construct a spaceship to escape the surface of the dangerous world. Colonists can be controlled using two modes: indirect and direct. In the first mode, you task the settlement residents with constructing buildings, gathering resources, and hunting. With the second option, the player can directly control one settler however, this method of control is only used in emergencies, such as when attacked by enemies.
