 About Ninja Gaiden Master Collection 

NINJA GAIDEN Master Collection is a modern day ninja, Ryu Hayabusa. Seeking revenge on his father's killer, he flies to the United States. His antagonist, Jaco, is tasked with enslaving the entire planet, and the protagonist will prevent this. Upon arriving in America, the ninja is immediately knocked unconscious by a stranger, but is later rescued. He completes Ken Hayabusa's mission and finds an old archaeologist. He reveals a secret about the statues in the Amazon. According to legend, they were enchanted by Japanese warriors seven centuries ago, and now a demon is trapped within them. The archaeologist holds one artifact. If the villain holds two, the demon will be freed again. The story in NINJA GAIDEN Master Collection is divided into 20 levels. In this 2D pixel platformer, each encounter with an enemy affects Ryu Hayabusa's health bar. If it drops to 0, Ryu Hayabusa loses one life. The player has 150 seconds to complete each mission. If the player fails within this time, the ninja also loses one heart. At the end of every 3-4 levels, a boss fight awaits. If all other enemies are destroyed with a single sword, kick, or punch, the boss has its own health bar. To reach high platforms, the protagonist can jump onto a vertical surface, bounce off, and jump again. He can also perform airborne kicks, throw shurikens for long-range attacks, and use fireballs.
