About Counter Strike Source 

Counter Strike Source is a remake of the original, built on the Half Life 2 engine. The shooter features rebalanced settings, updated graphics, custom maps, 145 achievements, and a cinematic death camera. Two teams, Special Ops and Terrorists fight each other over a series of rounds. To win a round, players must complete specific missions, such as a full clearout, a bomb detonation, or a hostage rescue.

Hostage Rescue The goal is to rescue hostages for the Special Ops team, while the enemy must hold them. You can eliminate all opponents. You must get the team to the rescue point before the match ends. Failure to do so results in victory for the enemy.
Bomb Defusal The most balanced scenario, where players must either plant or defuse a bomb, depending on the chosen side and the assigned mission. Terrorists detonate bombs at a designated location. Typically, there are two such zones. You have 3 seconds to plant a bomb, or 5-10 with the Defusal Kit. The opposing team is responsible for clearing the mines. The maps themselves are taken from the original shooter, but modified to take advantage of the new engine. This allowed for increased detail and realistic game physics. Additional maps were also added, resulting in a total of 18. The gameplay has undergone purely cosmetic changes. The developers have removed the Tactical Shield, which significantly disrupted the balance between teams. The weapons remain the same, and players will once again be able to wield the AK-47, M4 rifle, and Desert Eagle with their standard aiming mechanics.
