The Amazing Spider Man casts you as Peter Parker, a normal guy who gains extraordinary abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider. In this action adventure game, you gain incredible agility, strength, and the ability to walk on walls. The story unfolds a few months after the original film's conclusion. Dr. Connors has been confined to a mental hospital, where he continues to write his formulas everywhere, but has since regained his senses. Parker and his girlfriend, Gwen Stacy, decide to take a secret stroll through Oscorp's grounds, where they discover a lab producing mutants. These mutants will soon become a real threat to Manhattan. Peter accidentally destroys a nest of strange creatures, which immediately spreads, spreading panic, disease, and chaos. The hero must stop the chaos in the city by eliminating their enemies. The main villain of The Amazing Spider-Man is the Lizard, who initially pretends to be a friend, but soon loses his composure and tries to save everyone by killing. Other enemies include the acid spitting Scorpion, the Rhinoceros, who was also once human, the Soviet-born Alexei Mikhailovich Sitsevich, who behaves like a ferocious beast, the Parasite, a rat-like creature, the Iguana, and Felicia Hardy, the villainous Black Cat. The game begins in a laboratory, where the protagonist is attacked by enemies, whom he fights off, saving a blonde. The protagonist engages in fights with enemies, periodically using his vertical running ability on walls and buildings. Boxes, soda machines, and trash cans scattered throughout the environments are used during fights, and the character is also able to regenerate health. The action mostly takes place in closed spaces labyrinths of sewers, laboratory corridors, and warehouses except for battles with Alistair's robotic termites. There are also secondary missions to complete, such as capturing car bombers, protecting civilians from vandals, and helping patients get to the right treatment centers.
