F.E.A.R. is a game with a deep atmosphere and intelligent enemies that will terrify even the most seasoned gamer. The story follows a nameless hero, an operative for First Encounter Assault Recon (F.E.A.R.), an organization dedicated to investigating cases involving paranormal phenomena. The protagonist has no memory of his past, but possesses excellent physical fitness, which earns him a place in the organization. The game begins in 2025.
>The AT-14 pistol is the first weapon available in the game that you can dual wield.

The hero can carry up to three weapons, as well as mines and grenades. The game takes place mainly at night, in dark, poorly lit locations. The game is divided into levels, each consisting of a closed area with enemies positioned within. The exception is a couple of levels where the operative finds himself outside or on the roof of a building. To complete a level, you must complete certain objectives, primarily following the level from start to finish, killing enemies along the way.
