The process begins covertly under the rug, with the creation of a tunnel using a simple teaspoon. Constant vigilance is required to avoid the attention of patrolling guards during this effort. Fellow inmates provide trading opportunities, allowing you to exchange mundane items like toilet paper for more useful equipment to clear a path out. Progressing in Prison Escape Simulator Dig Out involves resource management and bartering. In this game, you can sell excavated junk to the guard or engage in trades with other inmates to obtain more advanced digging tools. Evading inspections is the central activity, requiring you to camouflage your tunnel and remove sand. Character stats such as strength and energy are increased through exercise, and larger backpacks allow you to carry more materials from the excavation site, facilitating the breach of the prison perimeter. As the escape route lengthens, the character uses glowsticks for illumination and dynamite to clear obstacles. Living quarters can be modified through purchases from the prison warehouse, managed by a character named Mrs. Dorothy. This inventory includes functional upgrades, such as improved toilets for faster soil disposal. Players also purchase new furniture and carpets to customize the cell's interior, combining these systems to support the ultimate goal of escaping the facility for good.
