20 Minutes Till Dawn you can level up seven main characters at once. Only female characters are available. Their names are Abby, Lily, Diamond, Hina, Spark, Scarlett, and Shana. Each character has their own level, health, and rune collection. After selecting a character, you must choose one of seven weapons. There are classic revolvers and futuristic guns. You can also choose a double-barreled weapon or a crossbow. In 20 Minutes Till Dawn, each weapon has its own set of stats: Damage, Defense, Reload Speed, Maximum Ammo, and Rate of Fire. You control your character from a top-down, third-person perspective. After death, they respawn 3-4 times, depending on their level. To win, they must endure a wave of monsters. This wave lasts 20 minutes and involves fighting monsters from the works of Lovecraft. The battle begins at level 1. A green bar at the top of the screen tracks progress. It slowly refills after each enemy is killed. After leveling up, the player can choose an upgrade for their fighter, which enhances their stats. Depending on the runes they choose, the character will gradually evolve into a different class. You can become a wizard, striking down enemies with magic, or a firearms specialist. There are ninjas, slaying monsters by throwing hundreds of daggers. All the characters and locations are designed in the style of old pixelated video games.
