BALL x PIT is a roguelite action game that plunges brave adventurers into a yawning chasm left behind by a meteorite that struck the city of Babylon. The few brave enough to venture deep are forced to return, as the ruins of the ancient metropolis have become a haven for barbaric creatures and fearsome bosses. Protagonists must fight their way through hordes of enemies, exploring dangerous, procedurally generated levels like the Bone Yard to acquire valuable resources and treasures. The heroes' journey takes them through various biomes, from desert lands to icy caves and dense forests, each with its own unique enemies and challenges. The central mechanic is the ball fusion system, which allows players to combine over 60 types of ricocheting projectiles to create hundreds of synergies and powerful attacks. This element, reminiscent of arcade games like Arkanoid, forces players to experiment with trajectories and find unexpected solutions to destroy waves of enemies. Successful forays into the pit yield resources needed to rebuild a new city called New Babylon. Constructing over 70 different buildings on the surface unlocks passive bonuses, automatically generated materials, and new characters, such as the Defender class. As players progress deeper into the abyss in BALL x PIT, they can recruit other heroes, each with unique skills that significantly change their playstyle. Developing a base not only strengthens characters but also allows for deeper exploration of the mysteries of the ruined world. Each descent into the pit is a new opportunity to try out unusual combinations of attacks and tactics, turning each arena into a spectacular light show.
