Zero Escape The Nonary Games is a series of visual novels that includes 999 and Virtue's Last Reward. In 999, players are trapped and given nine hours to find and unlock the door that leads to salvation. Over time, it becomes clear that the characters aren't trapped here by chance; each had their own reason for entering this survival game. Virtue's Last Reward is a sequel to 999, but the novella has its own unique twist, featuring nine other players. They must reach the antagonist and deal with him and his evil tricks.
