The Dark Pictures Anthology The Devil in Me is a new installment in the interactive story series "The Dark Pictures." Here, the user will be immersed in a new story full of all sorts of dangers and constant character deaths. Of course, they can try to save them all, but that's a very, very difficult task, considering everything around them will be trying to kill them. The main characters are a small film crew that hosts a show about various investigations, and their viewership has recently plummeted. They've taken on a story about Holmes, the first serial killer in the United States, and his killer hotel. Their report isn't the best, but a sudden call to the studio could save their careers. Some madman has built his own replica of the killer's hotel and invited the film crew in.
>Kate a journalist and investigator who is scheduled to appear in a video about the architect who killed the main anchor. A bit brash, but also bold and courageous.
>Charles the director of a small studio who received the call about filming a unique building. He is relatively old, so he's putting all his energy into the project to achieve at least something.
>Erin is a sound engineer in training, a rather timid and democratic individual, who views filming as an opportunity to gain experience before moving on to more serious companies.
>Jamie the lead director, was not too happy with working on weekends, but still went with the others. Stubborn and a bit confrontational, it's difficult to find a compromise with her.
>Mark the main cameraman is very passionate about photography and would like to dedicate his life to it, but hasn't been able to find a job with a good salary yet, and is therefore forced to shoot B grade shows.
