Transported to the past, Above Snakes challenges players to survive in challenging times. Set in a fictional world, players must manage multiple indicators while developing their territories. The environment is reminiscent of the Wild West. The events take place in 1883. While managing all the components, players must monitor their resources. Players must ensure they have everything they need to stay alive. Staying alive isn't easy; they must put forth maximum effort.
Players can take on various roles to ensure their safety. Becoming a chef allows players to prepare their own meals. As a warrior, they can defeat enemy creatures. Weaving provides players with clothing. Construction allows players to construct various buildings. This requires a variety of resources, which must be obtained. The board is divided into square tiles that can be moved around.
