Project Wingman is an action packed aerial combat simulator. The game immerses you in the atmosphere of high speed flights and aerial battles in a sci-fi future. The story takes place on an alternate Earth, where a major global cataclysm has left numerous dangerous zones, and humanity has discovered a vital energy resource called Cordium, the possession of which has sparked a conflict between the Cascadia Republic and the Pacific Federation. You play as a mercenary pilot with the call sign Monarch. Project Wingman's protagonist is part of a group of soldiers of fortune called Killers, belonging to the Sicario Corps, a private military company fighting on the Cascadia side. In addition to Monarch, this team includes pilots Diplomat and Comedian, as well as its weapons systems operator, nicknamed the President. Other heroes from the Sicario PMC include Galactica, the primary operator of the aircraft's radar detection and targeting system, and the leader of the company itself, also serving as a pilot and group commander, Assassin Kaiser. Their adversaries are Federation hired bounty hunters led by a mercenary with the call sign Dread as well as federal forces consisting of enemy ground, naval, and air vehicles, and an elite squadron known as the Scarlet. One of the Killers' main enemies is a member of the Pacific elite known as the Scarlet, who has decided to use a new, secret aircraft being developed by scientists, codenamed Project Wingman. The tactical flight simulator offers a wide range of military aircraft, most of which are based on real life prototypes. There are two modes: campaign and conquest. The first consists of 21 story driven missions immersing players in the history of the conflict. Before each level, you're asked to select a suitable aircraft and equipment. The second mode allows you to conquer Cascadia step-by-step, capturing territory, purchasing new equipment, and recruiting allies. In conquest mode, you'll start with fighters such as the F-4 Phantom II and MiG-21, or rather their training replicas. Each mission is more challenging, the enemies are stronger, and the player gains more resources. The game itself is single player only. The arsenal includes real-world weapons like Gatling guns and rockets, as well as futuristic weaponry like railguns, geothermal weapons, and much more.
