Hero Siege is a roguelike game that features randomly generated levels complete with environments, traps, enemies, treasure chests, and other elements. Here, players battle armies of diverse monsters, collect items and secrets, and strive for survival. Four players can play simultaneously in local or online co op. Choose from 10 characters, each with their own distinct abilities, combat styles, and playstyles. Fighting enemies earns experience and levels, which are retained after the protagonist's death. There are four active skills and several passive skills, which are upgraded along a skill tree. Each successful level awards a skill point and a couple of stat points for strength, survivability, agility, and armor. This top-down shooter consists of five acts, each featuring distinct environments, enemies, and bosses. Each stage consists of six waves of attacks, ending with a boss encounter, and finally, a superboss. The levels are dotted with traps, such as sharp spikes, which can be used against monsters.
